Ray (Yu-Hao) Cheng, M.D., PH.D Postdoctoral Fellow
Ray’s current research focuses on the erythropoietic niche, particularly the impact of exercise and aging. He applies advanced computational tools to dissect single-cell and spatial-omics data, uncovering differences in the erythropoietic niche during normal aging and the impact of moderate exercise, with the goal of exploring therapeutic potential for treating anemia in the elderly.

Karin Gustafsson, Ph.D Instructor
Karin’s research is focused on how hematopoietic tissues respond to and regenerate after assaults. Her primary interests are repair of the thymic microenvironment after bone marrow transplantation and bone marrow niche responses to chronic inflammation.

Lingli He, Ph.D Postdoctoral Fellow
Lingli is interested in exploiting the metabolic vulnerabilities of malignant myeloid cells to develop small molecules for therapy. Through the study of malignancy, she also seeks to determine what normal cells must protect to preserve the integrity of the blood system.

Kameron A. Kooshesh, M.D. Resident Physician
Kameron is a physician-scientist who led a MGB-wide study that demonstrated the importance of the thymus in the adult immune system after joining the Scadden lab in 2019. Kameron’s current work focuses on the role of the adult thymus in cancer, autoimmunity, and infection.

Trine Ahn Kristiansen, PH.D Postdoctoral Fellow
Trine’s research questions are focused on the interplay between a changing bone marrow niche and blood disease. How are the responses at this interface changed with past and upon present stress exposures? Can niche heterogeneity shape clone-specific response patterns with impact on disease progression and infection?

Dan Li, PH.D Postdoctoral Fellow
Dan is interested in understanding the mRNA translational signatures of hematopoietic development and diseases. Her primary aim is to identify the precise mRNA translation mechanisms that leukemia uses to exploit its preference in translational machinery and translating mRNA for new therapeutic targets.

Christina Mayerhofer, M.D. Postdoctoral Fellow
Christina is a physician scientist with a clinical and research focus on pediatric hematology and oncology. She joined the Scadden lab in 2021 and investigates the role of leukemia stem cells in causing disease and relapse by integrating metabolic approaches.

Jun Xia, PH.D Postdoctoral Fellow
Jun joined the Scadden laboratory in November 2023 and is focused on novel methods for converting hematopoietic progenitors into targeted delivery systems for complex biologic information. Her long-term goal is to use fundamental hematopoietic biology to design novel therapeutics.

Ting Zhao, Ph.D Postdoctoral Fellow
Ting is interested in leveraging the power of the chemical approach to modulate cell fate to develop potential therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment and regenerative medicine. He is currently seeking to develop differentiation therapy to osteosarcoma.
